German 3D Community page 3D Ring is now offline

Hey my friends. This is a sad news for me personally. I was for a long time one of the admins of a german 3d community page called 3D Ring. Making graphics was and is one of my big loves in my life.

After many years of enjoyment, we recently had to take the 3D Ring offline and retire it. A massive wave of spam overwhelmed our ancient CMS. And because it was so old, there was no way to get it under control. The decision was not easy for us. But under the circumstances, it simply didn’t make sense to continue running the site.

The 3D Ring was a creative site about 3D graphics and all its programs, paved the way for many people in the industry to enter professional life, and had existed since 2001. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved and the community for their years of support. Stay creative!

All that’s left is our Discord, which we will continue to run. And in which a few stalwart old-time 3Ders like me are active. Everyone is welcome. If anyone doesn’t know what Discord is, it’s basically a mixture of chat and forum. You can set up different rooms for different topics. AI is also welcome. There is a PM system, you can post pictures and videos. And of course chat and fool around as much as you like 🙂
